Summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime!

This summer Faith learned how to swim! This was her fourth year of swim lessons and she is now swimming on her own. She has really good form and I already have aspirations of getting her on a swim team! lol Poor kid, Mommy already planning greatness for her! But I am very proud of her, it took her a while to get the confidence she needed to swim in the deep end. She loved swimming in the 'beach' area - it's like a really big step - and didn't touch the bottom when she did, but it was there providing her security. She did everything she was supposed to, face in the water, using her arms, kicking....propelling herself quite well! But to do that same thing in deeper water? She didn't want anything to do with that! She cried and put up quite a fuss when asked to do it in deeper water, but with AnnaMarie's tender proddings, she swam from her to the step succesfully! She had to do that several times before she would venture from the step to AnnaMarie, but she finally did. And after a few times, she stood up and loudly proclaimed "I'm a Good Swimmer!" And that was it, she's swam well on her own ever since. She makes her Mama proud!
